Jasmine Guy has been catching some really unnecessary comments about her appearance since A Different World returned — and she finally responded.

And all I could think was… women really cannot win online.

Age naturally? People pick apart your wrinkles, your skin and how much you’ve “changed.”

Get Botox, fillers or surgery? Now you “did too much,” “don’t look like yourself” or should’ve just aged gracefully.

What exactly are women supposed to do? Stay 25 forever?

Jasmine Guy is 64 years old. Of COURSE she doesn’t look exactly like the Whitley Gilbert we met almost 40 years ago. None of us are supposed to. Aging means you got the privilege of being here long enough to do it.

And I really wish we’d stop acting like a woman getting older is some kind of failure. She said beauty, style and joy don’t have an expiration date — and THAT is the part worth talking about.
